Internet is at the Top of the List
Our Lake Harmony house rentals all offer high-speed wireless internet, allowing you to download reports and appear at Zoom meetings in your best pajamas! And because your laptop makes you mobile, you can move your office to the spot that suits you best. The patio table on the deck allows you to breathe in fresh air as you send emails, the wall of windows looking out over the lake makes a beautiful backdrop to your meetings, and if you’re just checking voicemails, who says you can’t stay in our super comfy beds getting business done?
Better Than a Break Room
How many hours of your life have you spent sitting alone in cafeteria chairs while you try to find the joy in your frozen budget meal? Staring at industrial gray walls and listening to the muffled murmurs of your coworkers does nothing for your state of mind, but when you choose one of our Lake Harmony “business spaces,” the fully equipped kitchen is just steps away from your office! Throw together a healthy lunch with items you picked up at the Farmers Market (located at Pa-115 and open on Fridays and Saturdays from 9 AM until 4 PM) and spend some time with the family on the back deck. Finishing early earns you the reward of a quick simmer in the deck top hot tub!
A Taste of the Town
Of course, hard-working travelers deserve a break and won’t want to spend all their spare moments in the kitchen preparing meals, especially knowing that the Poconos are filled with restaurants that want nothing more than to feed hungry mouths. Sample the comfort foods this region of Pennsylvania is famous for with a tour of diners; from Moyer’s Country Kitchen, 965 PA-940 in Pocono Lake (only open for take-out at this time) to the Arlington Diner, 834 N 9th Street in Stroudsburg, to Piggy’s, 16 N Lakeshore Drive right here in Lake Harmony, your taste of the town is guaranteed to feed your stomach AND soul! When on the search for something special, guests may be surprised that it’s not all chicken fried steaks and mashed potatoes with gravy that is served on our restaurant scene. Top of the 80s in Hazleton is a popular choice for couples seeking a romantic evening out on the town, offering delicious American style foods that include a Timeless Classics section filled with your favorite dishes. The Delmonico Room, 401 Broad Street in Milford, is famed for their dry-aged steaks and seafood Newberg Mac & Cheese. Every bite is a treat to your tastebuds and visitors may want to return more than a few times to any of these tempting restaurants during their stay!
Chained to a Desk?
Not when your temporary office is one of our luxurious Pocono Mountain Rentals vacation escapes! Even though you may have to participate in meetings, emails, and telephone calls, when 5:00 comes you are free to explore everything the Poconos has to offer. Make this sojourn a glimpse into the past and spend your off minutes visiting museums and other historical attractions in the region. Grey Towers National Historic Site, 151 Grey Towers Drive in Milford, has been a local point of interest almost since the day construction was completed in 1886, and although mansion tours are temporarily suspended due to COVID-19, the grounds are open daily and the views from the outside are just as breathtaking. The Stroud Mansion & Elizabeth D. Walters Library, 900 Main Street in Stroudsburg, is even older, having been constructed in 1795; it is open for tours by appointment only. Built by a Revolutionary War colonel, the exquisitely renovated mansion is definitely worth the extra effort, so feel free to set up an appointment by calling 570 421 7703. For visitors interested in the history of transportation, the Cresco Station Museum, 142 Sand Spring Road in Cresco, is once again open for explorations, displaying historical artifacts and exhibits that give guests a realistic peek into the history of the railroads that entered the valley in the 1850s.
