Bella Mia

Bella Mia

There is never a bad time to enjoy a good pizza, and this stays true even when on vacation. Pizza is the one meal that can be adjusted to fit every appetite, and a few other things is the one dish that always satisfies. And while takeout is common while at home as we fight to fit meals into days that are jam-packed with chores, your Poconos vacation is destined to be different; this is a time for enjoying long meals and laughter with your family, and a visit to Bella Mia is the perfect way to do so!

Located at 2591 PA-903 #7 in Albrightsville

While not exactly Tuscan villa-like, the exterior of Bella Mia is unlike most of the other buildings in the area. With its bright red roof and white stucco and stone walls, the structure could fit nicely into any Italian neighborhood. Stepping inside, guests are greeted with a welcoming atmosphere and delicious aromas that will make even half-hearted pizza lovers begin to salivate. Smiling waitstaff and a casual vibe make Bella Mia restaurant a favored family eatery for everyone in the Poconos, and after one bite, it’s going to be your new favorite as well!

The Menu at Bella Mia

Offering an extensive menu that includes sandwiches, entrees, and kids’ meals in addition to pizza, we have made it our personal mission to eat our way through each dish on the menu! Build your own pizza or enjoy one of their special combinations. From the Neapolitan style to a unique German Sicilian, every pie is a treat to the palate and their gluten-free crusts allow people with dietary restrictions to once again enjoy a slice for their dinner. For those with a large appetite, we can still guarantee leftovers when you try their strombolis or calzones; the steak calzone could feed a family or a hungry football player after a big game! Hot sandwiches, cold sandwiches, and wings and shrimp options are perfect options for pickier eaters, and the classic Baked Manicotti could have come straight from the kitchen of your Italian great grandmother who lived in the old country her entire life! A dessert menu finishes off the meal on the perfect sweet note. Every bite is better than the last and if you don’t try the chocolate-dipped cannoli you will regret it long after your unforgettable Poconos vacation has ended.

Want to Work Off That Pizza?

There is so much to see and do during your Pocono Mountains escape that you may worry that a nap after your delicious meal at Bella Mia may be a waste of time, but that’s ok; sometimes the best thing you can do to avoid the after meal slump is get out there and walk off those calories! Exercising is a chore best saved for home, however getting out and exploring can burn away those calories as well as get you over the slump hump! Albrightsville, where Bella Mia is located, is a sleepy little township filled with charming homes and hiking trails, so if its early enough in the day, why not take a hike to Hawks Falls or simply walk around the town, stopping to photograph any scenic spots that delight? The Hawks Falls Parking lot is located here in town and the 1.3-mile hike to the falls is easy and worth all the extra effort! The photographs you take along this hike, plus the ones when you reach the falls, will definitely be frame worthy—we just hope you have the wall space to hang them all!

Field Trip to Jim Thorpe

Now, if the sleepy village charm of Albrightsville isn’t enough for you, turn your car south for a 12-mile drive to the town of Jim Thorpe. This beautiful and colorful mining town is a picture waiting to be taken and so much more! Home to the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway and the Number 9 Mine Museum, there is so much to see and do, you may want to take a second expedition here just to see it all. The Mauch Chunk Opera House, built in 1881 and located at 14 W. Broadway Road, is a popular attraction, drawing music lovers from all over the state. And no, it’s not just opera played here; as a matter of fact, you may not hear any opera at all. This is where the best cover bands, indie groups, comedians, and in late April, the Jim Thorpe Independent Film Festival come to entertain. April 23-26 is when the film festival comes to town in 2020, so all film buffs should plan accordingly! This relatively new arrival to the independent film festival world (this is the 4th year) offers a rebellious outlook and shares a motto of “eyes and mind wide open,” not stepping back from the unusual or the controversial. In 2019, 92 films were exhibited, and as each year passes, more films are introduced. Their Saturday night Grindhouse program has continued to be an audience favorite, but keep in mind that no one under the age of 18 will be allowed in the doors!
