Hotel of Horror is another well-known haunted experience. Set on the grounds of a 200-yr old abandoned Poconos resort, you’ll be shaking in your boots as you enjoy this creepy place.
Recognized as one of the top ten hottest haunts in the United States and Pennsylvania, the Waldorf Estate of Fear is one of the premier haunted attractions in the area. Open on October weekends, they also host a few Special Events including Friday & Saturday October 13-14 (Friday the 13th Part V Slasher Weekend Reunion), as well as October 27, 2023 (A&E Ghost Hunter’s Daryl Marston).
If you’re looking to tone down the “scare” just a little bit, then After Dark Adventures at Camelback Resort is the perfect choice. Open from 6:00 – 10:00 pm on the weekends from September 28 thru October 28, the resort turns into a thrilling Halloween destination. You can enjoy pumpkin carving, Halloween Movie on the Mountain, exciting rides, and even a Howl O’Ween Doggie Parade on October 21 from 12:00-3:00 pm.
Autumn in the Poconos always means a spectacular color show as the trees begin to put on their fall best. You can take in some amazing views and also enjoy a train ride by visiting The Stourbridge Line. They have Pocono Fall Foliage trips each weekend in October, and also Pumpkin Patch Express routes that allow the kids to experience the fun of a pumpkin patch!
The Electrifying Jack-O-Lantern Experience is a very cool walk-through exhibit on the grounds of the West End Fairgrounds. You can see thousands of hand-carved pumpkins from October 6-29, 2023 and on Halloween night. Buy your tickets early, however, as they are limited.

A Golden Girls Mystery: The Halloween Caper will be playing at Mohegan Pennsylvania October 7, 2023 at 8:00pm and October 8, 2023 at 2:00pm.
